In an exclusive interview to MNA, a US foreign policy expert and public speaker, Soraya Sepahpour Ulrich, said that Iran has acted really wise not joining US-led coalition fighting ISIL in the region because it is a US game which is in favor of Israel.
She said that although the US president passed a presidential act but all US presidents are powerless and the Zionist AIPAC is ruling the US.
On Iran nuclear issue, she mentioned that since the US is ruled by Zionists, the US will never let Iran nuclear issue be resolved, “because if they resolve this issue they cannot use Iran as a boogeyman anymore, while they always need one to deceive public opinion and justify their crimes."
Ms. Sepahpour believes that “nuclear program is just an excuse which went to UN Security Council under pretext of a lie. If they wanted to resolve the issue, nuclear dossier must have gone back to the IAEA, while it is still in UN Security Council which is under control of US.”
At Mehr News meeting, Ms. Sepahpour Ulrich went on saying that other than nuclear excuse, the US could bring other excuses against Iran which are in her opinion human rights and support for terrorism.
What follows is the transcript of the interview.
Iran and the 5+1 group had talks on Tehran nuclear issue on the sidelines of the 69th UN General Assembly in New York and there was no breakthrough, how do you see the result for Iran and the nuclear talks?
What resulted from the talks was not unexpected; it is clear that it would not be resolved because Iran’s nuclear issue is a political issue. AIPAC runs the US and it never intended to resolve the nuclear issue because it is political.
Although the US president passed a presidential act, but all US presidents are powerless and the Zionist AIPAC is ruling the US.
Even before the talks started ahead of President Rouhani's coming to the office, US delisted MEK (Mojahedin-e-Khalgh) from terrorist groups.
All these were negative signs that things would not go on in favor of Iran; despite all those negative indications Iran took part in the negotiations and showed the world that it has no intension of diverting its nuclear program to anything else.
If they resolve this issue they cannot use Iran as a boogeyman anymore, while they always need one to deceive public opinion and justify their crimes.
It is their foreign policy to be implemented in the region and they need that threat to sell their weapons.
Even if Iran puts all its nuclear program aside the US would bring another issue against Iran because the Islamic Republic is the only country in the world that 35 years ago stood up against the US and told them get out of our country and said I am not going to be subservient.
But if they allow Iran to have its own rights, every other country would also stand for their rights against the US.
So I don’t see any success at the end of the talks, though I hope my analysis would not realize at the end.
US wants full control over Persian Gulf countries because it has global ambitions and wants control over Eurasia, so it doesn’t want to see Iran as a strong, sovereign power in the region.
Nuclear program is just an excuse; it went to UN Security Council under pretext of a lie. If they wanted to resolve the issue, nuclear dossier must have gone back to the IAEA from UN Security Council which is under control of US.
What other excuses do you think the US would fabricate apart from the nuclear issue to use against the Islamic Republic of Iran?
Human rights and support for terrorism; US has over and over, falsely and wrongly, excused Iran of support for terrorism. After the 9/11 UN Security Council passed an unanimous vote against fighting terrorism without providing a clearcut defintion of what terrorism is.
And since then US has been using the term vaguely for what they mean by terrorism.
Now public opinions around the world is ready to accept the threat of terrorism rather than nuclear weapon. Even if Iran were after one or two bombs, one should bear in mind that Israel has some 300 and the US has 16 thousands so it was rational for Iran to have few as a rational actor.
Do you think Iran’s not joining the coalition against the ISIL would provide a potential pretext for the US to accuse Iran of supporting terrorism?
US has the power and voice because it owns mainstream media to promote whatever narrative it wants. It has the power and if Iran had joined they would find another excuse to point finger to Iran. But in fact they created this monster ISIL and have been feeding it, giving aid to it in Syria as their friend; this is just a bizarre way to get rid of Assad.
If these monsters are not stopped here, the same thing would happen in China and Russia; the US has global ambition and nowadays every single American is scared to the threat of terrorism.
The US doctored a film of Foley being beheaded by ISIL, but this is doctored not real while American people believe whatever they are told. They have been under pressure of free press in US and lost the ability to think critically and all have fear that terrorism knock on the door.
Iran knows well ISIL is US terrorism and game and that they are not serious in fighting ISIL. On the other hand Saudi Arabia is feeding them and is in the coalition. Israel has offered to fight them while ISIL is in favor of Israel, Iran is not stupid; it is US game, it is US terrorism.
Iran is really wise in what it does; to have Iran, Israel and Saudi Arabia sit on the same table in the coalition then people would say these terrorists are going to attack us.
Back to nuclear talks, if the nuclear talks do not succeed who is going to lose and what they lose on both sides?
We know sanctions hurt Iran economy a lot but US is losing a lot as well, it is constantly losing its stance in the world; people know that Israel has nuclear weapons. Yet the hypocrisy is that Obama is a peace noble prize winner.
If Iran is able to hold itself a little bit longer, I think the US is the bigger loser, the US officials are beholding to Israel, all its lobbies and every imaginable institution in the US is run by Israel.
If we think Palestine as an occupied territory, Washington is more occupied, but the difference is Palestinians know it while people in Washington do not know about it.
The Obama administration has failed in its foreign policy in Syria, in Iraq and even in Ukraine; so do you think that Democrats need nuclear talks succeed to have an achievement to gain weight in midterm elections?
Democrats need success, but when we talk in terms of Iran nuclear program that success comes to various definitions.
Republicans are more unpleasant to Israel but among the democrats you see more new Zionist and new conservatives so democrats are there to protect Israel.
For Republicans and I think for anybody in Congress, success in nuclear talks would be subjugation of Iran, for Iran completely gives up nuclear rights.
It can be a solution for both sides in regard to the election in US, is it possible to have deal.
Obama is not likely to win but anyway he cannot put sanctions away on its own, Congress cannot either. I mean Netanyahu goes and controls them; it is very unlikely nuclear issue will be resolved but anyway politics may turn out differently.
If you just look at what happened in the past, it is a very unlikely scenario for a win-win situation.
Iran is the only stable secured country in the region and the US thinks Iran should be allied with it but at the same time all US allies are fanatics so it would have to put aside Israel, Jordan, Saudis, Turkey and work with Iran and I don’t think they would do that.
Iran nuclear talks have been dragged on for so long that the issue has become political in a way that whoever works with Iran will be deemed as weak since media is controlled by military and Zionists.
Who do you think would benefit from the long nuclear discussions?
It has benefited Iran for some reasons; to some extent it is for the first time Iran is in the world stage.
Iranians show they are willing to negotiate to ptove that they are not working maliciously. Iran has presented itself very strong and at the same time reasonable nation and rational actor. These negotiations have been a great deal of good for Iran. If it goes longer, I don’t know what Iran will negotiate for and what it will get.
What do you think will happen if Iran resists more on its right like enrichment, will they raise other excuses?
They will definitely increase the sanctions but I don’t know how many other countries would go for America. The US is loser and people around the world know that. The AIPAC which is ruling the US will put pressure on US authorities to increase sanctions.
You mentioned Iran is the only stable country in the region. How do you see regional situation in terms of Iran, US interests?
I think regarding policy dictated by Israel, Iran’s stability is a threat for Israel because as a stable country it is strong and US, Israel do not want it. That is why the US in 2009 tried to sabotage Iran's stability and also wanted to undermine it. It wants every country in this region to be a yes-man ally.
Do you agree there is competition between US and Iran to be influential in the region?
There is a mute competition and Iran uses good will in helping Iraq, but US neglects people of this region. Iran works with their people and does not marginalize their people from the government; when you read social websites and networks Iran is very popular among people in the region. Because Iran is a country which was considered a third world country and could not even build a car without blessings of US during previous regime. Now it is stable and independent so it really scares US because it doesn’t want other countries in the region to be stable.
Considering the current situaton in West of Asia and North of Africa, how do you see the future of the region, not only in regard to troubled countries such as Iraq or Syria, but also other countries such as Jordan, Saudi Arabia or Egypt?
I hope people will wake up in these countries, specialy in countries like Saudi Arabia or Jordan where the rulers are acting like US gladiator. 2-3 years ago, in an American military school, they were teaching future leaders of the country, future American leaders, to wage a total war on Islam, to reduce Islam to a cult status, to starve them, to kill them, to bomb them; and they wer talking about bombing Saudi Arabia. If Saudi Arabia and Jordan don't wake up to the fact that the America is not an ally and they are being used, they will be destroyed because people are ultimately more aware than their governments. I think countries like Iran, Syria will prevail but it will be a costly battle; it won't be easy, it won't happen over night; Iran paid the price for independence. Saudi Arabia and Jordan think if they stand with the US and help it accomplish its goals, they will survive, but that's not going to happen. So it's just a matter of time.
